Behavioral Health
Positive mental health is one of the fundamental building blocks for successful students. As early experiences shape the developing brain, they also lay the foundations of sound mental health. Disruptions to this developmental process can impair a child’s capacities for learning and relating to others — with lifelong implications. Included in this section are supports for families to encourage positive mental health to ensure life-long learners.
Behavioral Health Services
At Starfish Family Services we offer behavioral health services to more than just children enrolled in our early childhood education programs. We support school age children as well! For more information on what services we can provide, visit Behavioral Health Services on our agency website.

Did You Know?
Did you know that every center at Starfish Family Services has an assigned PBHT (Preschool Behavioral Health Therapist)? They are an additional support for staff, children, and families. They specialize in supporting children's emotions and can assist teaching staff identifying the cause of a behavior rather than focusing on the behavior.
